Created the first sustainable change to the Chuck Taylor All Star in 100 years. Focused on reduction of raw materials, adhesives, and labor. Creating a new lean manufacturing process that is now the gold standard. 

Hit all reduction Metrics.  Reduced labor and time for lean manufacturing.  Exceeded target reductions for material and adhesives.  Changes increased margin per unit resulting in a massive increase in incremental annual revenue / gross margin

A founding partner in Converse Renew Labs concept. Building more sustainable concepts at retail.  Transparently invited consumers to play.  Upcycle, recycle, refresh or upgrade their footwear, apparel, and accessories.

 

The project is a center to connect and engage with the consumer within a retail environment. The goal is to showcase the brand’s sustainable products and also help consumers extend the life of their current products that may be unworn in their closets.

 

In an extremely short time, the results showed increased consumer sediment that the brand was sustainable.  The brand heat study highlights positive increases in key consumer groups.
